Pollinator Packets

Did you recently receive a packet of flower seeds in the mail from Tallgrass Ontario.  These Pollinator Packets were a simple thank you gift for your donation or membership purchase.  These seeds were collected by Tallgrass Ontario from a number of our recent grassland reconstruction projects.  These seeds are all guaranteed to be from Ontario genotype flowers and are suitable for planting in your garden or creating your own small "Pollinator Patch".

This packet will plant approximately 3 square meters and will add a colourful display of native flowers to any landscape.  Planting directions are simple.  Scatter the seeds on bare soil in late May and cover very lightly with soil (less than 2mm).  Regularly water the area to aid in germination.  Be very patient as these flowers can take up to 2 or 3 years to mature and bloom.  They will spend the first few months simply putting down roots.  Below is a list of the species that could be found in  your seed packet.
