Tallgrass Ontario has access to hundreds of hectares
of grassland creation projects for seed collection. Each
year these habitats produce tremendous amounts of seed that could be
used to plant substantial tracts of grassland habitats. All we
need to do is collect the seed and distribute it to groups and
landowners who are willing to plant it. The OGI raises funds to do
just that, collect and clean large quantities of seed for grassland
projects right here in Ontario. Every $100 raised will pay to collect
and clean enough seed to plant 1/4 hectare of new grassland habitat.
